I have been very busy over the last two months or so. Part of this is due to the fact that waking up at 5:15 a.m. has taken a toll on my energy level. And, the fact that teaching 130 high school students for the first time ever is very exhausting.
I love my students. It has taken about twelve weeks for us to reach a level of mutual understanding about expectations regarding behavior, work ethics, and productivity. I’m happy to report that we are getting along famously. My students seem to be learning and enjoying themselves in the process.
Another reason I have seriously neglected my blog has to do with a new romance… Balancing a 70-hour a week job and an amazing woman is challenging. Tonight, Gato gets to meet the surrogate parents. Keep your fingers crossed.
