Yesterday was rough. My legs ached, my students were nearly silent, and I had trouble keeping my eyes open on the drive home (in part, due to the fact that I woke up ready to go at 4:15).
Today was much better. At first, I was off to a rough start again. My classroom keys fell between the seats in my car, my coffee spilled all over a couple of my student's journals, and I forgot to sign in at the front office (however, the office wasn't open when I arrived at 7:00). By the time my students entered the room, the morning began to fade away.
These young adults are already etching a place into my heart. I love this "job" and my students!
Student question of the day: "Miss, do you already have a student who drives you crazy?"
My reply: "No, I hate you all equally." Followed by laughter!
Alas, they already know my sense of humor.
*** Today, a lesbian couple, walking hand in hand, passed by my room!***
You go girls!
