I’m beginning to realize that there are a lot of things I have forgotten about that happen in high school.
I was notified on Friday that I would have lunchroom duty this year. I will be one of those teachers patrolling the lines, making sure students don’t sneak outside for a smoke, or loiter in the hallways. I have become the enemy!
In addition, next week I will be getting my yearbook picture taken. Eek! And then there is homecoming, south Texas HS football (they are hardcore down here), prom, etc. I barely took part in my high school extra-curricular activities. What else have I forgotten about those dazed and confused years?

You *are* the police now, my friend! Good thing we spent some time last semester in the gym, just for such occasions -- I know for sure that you're buffer than most hs students :)
