HIRED!

Today I will be signing a letter of intent with a school district that serves a very economically disadvantaged population. The high school is located within five minutes of the college where I began my teaching/higher education career. Several of my friends and two of my three godmothers will be within walking distance. I am returning to the area of town where my heart and soul were first inspired to serve.

I can finally say that I have come full circle and it feels amazing!

Interviewing with the Principal was interesting. SHE is an amazing woman. I actually had a good time talking with her about our subject, our love for teaching, and our common interests. We know the same people at the community college I attended and worked at down the street from the high school.

Now, I can breath a sigh of relief… but not for too long. I plan on going in this week and beginning my preparation for the school year.
